Catholic Sports Radio helps listeners find the right balance and priority when it comes to their faith life versus their sports life. Interviews are done with guests who are Catholics in sports - current or former athletes, coaches, officials, administrators, and more, from the pro, amateur, and scholastic ranks. Whether you're an athlete or a fan, youth or adult, Catholic or not, this show will deliver content that speaks to you and provides opportunities for ongoing reflection for your daily life.
The show is hosted by Bruce Wawrzyniak, a lifelong Catholic who has a long career working in both sports and broadcasting (the latter to include podcasting as well). As he describes on Episode 1 of Catholic Sports Radio, Bruce has worked in the National Hockey League, the National Lacrosse League, and in the Olympic Movement (International Softball Federation). He has been on TV, radio, the Web, and hosted/produced two other podcasts, one of which has come out every week since February 2014.
In his faith life, Bruce attends Mass twice a week, is an oblate to the St. Leo Abbey, is part of a men's prayer group that meets regularly to include members of his parish, is president of the Christian Business Connections chapter that he attends meetings of every week, plus, he also attends ultreya meetings as part of the Cursillo movement, with plans to make his weekend in the latter part of 2019. Bruce had also done a men's Emmaus retreat weekend a couple years ago.
Bruce has spoken in cities around the country and is available to speak to your church or event.
